Field Place Manor House Wedding Photos
What can I say about Georgie and Joe’s Field Place Manor House & Barns wedding? Not only was it one of the warmest and sunniest days of 2019, their beaming smiles and shining personalities are what really shone through for me. One part of wedding photography that I really love is getting to know the people I work for, and if I learnt anything from their day, it’s that these two are made for each other!

An Award Winning Wedding Venue
I started the day at a gorgeous Airbnb that the bridal party had hired, where Georgie and her friends and family were getting ready. Georgie was the most relaxed and laid-back bride, allowing her to really make the most of having fun with her bridesmaids. I’ll never forget the look of pride and joy on her dad’s face when she finally did the big reveal, in her gorgeous and unique embellished dress. Before I knew it, she was being whisked off to Field Place Manor, Worthing, the location of their wedding, in a vintage Bentley! Meanwhile, my second-photographer was with Joe and his groomsmen at his home where they were leisurely preparing for the day. Joe was as cool as a cucumber, but the only thing that may have given away his cool exterior was that he decided to share a whiskey with his best-man before they left; They said it was tradition, as it was something they had done on his best man’s big day… but it probably didn’t do any harm if he was experiencing any butterflies! Suddenly, the whole family showed up in a massive taxi, which Joe jumped in, on the way to Field Place, Worthing.

Barn Wedding Venues, Sussex
Joe greeted the guests at the venue and was helped with the finishing touches, like his Grandad insisting on re-doing his tie for him! One thing that I love about being a Field Place Barn wedding photographer is that, not only do you have the gorgeous barn for the main proceedings of the day, but you also have tons of wonderful outside space, including the Bandstand, allowing Georgie and Joe to have their ceremony outside, where everyone could take advantage of the ideal weather on this summer wedding.
Before we knew it, they were man-and-wife and making a dash for it amongst a shower of confetti flower petals before going for a quick spin in the vintage Bentley – which, by the way, is a great idea; I can’t recommend enough that if you hire a car for your wedding day, make the most of it and take some time out together to appreciate one another!

Field Place Manor House, Worthing
Georgie and Joe treated their guests to a whole host of fun activities while they were off, including having a caricaturist draw portraits of the guests, games in the gardens and a magician who had the whole party enthralled! After the wedding breakfast, the speeches went down a treat; I hope you can see from my Field Place Barn wedding photos that the atmosphere in there was great!
And we couldn’t come to this lovely venue without taking advantage of the beautiful gardens during the golden hour, so we took Georgie and Joe off for a short portrait session to enjoy each other’s company in the warm summer sun.

Games at Weddings
The perfect way to round off the day was for a game of Mr and Mrs before the first dance. I’ve got to say, I am a big fan of games like this; it just brings everyone together for a bit of fun, getting everyone in a great mood, before the first dance. Hilarity ensued as the guest joined in trying to guess the right answers. And the DJ helped them to transition into the first dance seamlessly. The party got going as the guests joined them on the dancefloor and after shooting the action, I left Georgie and Joe bathed in the light of the word’s ‘love’ that adorned the venue.

Not only was it just a beautiful day to shoot a wedding, at a gorgeous location, but I hope you can see from the photos that Georgie and Joe are just the loveliest people. You can’t really call it ‘work’ when you get to spend your time in the company of great couples. To Georgie and Joe, keep on shining!
