Portsmouth Wedding Photography
If there is one word to describe the summer wedding of Suzanne and Neil, it’s ‘glamorous’! With a Spinnaker Tower wedding overlooking Portsmouth Harbour and the arrival of the Bride on a speedboat, how could it not be?
Suzanne started the day getting ready in Gosport with her family and bridesmaids, where she grew up, while Neil was staying at the East Side Plaza, overlooking the Spinnaker Tower, where he would later say ‘I do’. As Portsmouth Harbour divided the two lovebirds, it could only mean one thing – Suzanne could make the most of the beautiful summer weather by hopping on a speedboat from Gosport Marina to Gunwharf Quays, making for the classiest entrance to a wedding that I’ve ever seen!

The Spinnaker Tower certainly makes for an impressive backdrop to a wedding ceremony, with panoramic views across the south coast, allowing for some impressive coastal Wedding Photography! But it was Suzanne and Neil who made the day what it was – Their love for one another was evident for all to see and the bright, sunny day was a perfect reflection of their passion for each other.
West Ham United Themed Wedding
Also, Neil is a MASSIVE West Ham United fan, so his wedding wouldn’t have been complete without a few nods to the Hammers, such as a bubble machine and the team anthem, ‘I’m forever blowing bubbles’, at the end of the ceremony. Not only that but the table names were named after WHUFC legends such as Bobby Moore and Paulo Di Canio!
A boat trip via Harbour Tours
After the ceremony, the bride and groom treated their guests to a wedding day boat tour around Portsmouth Harbour. As everyone enjoyed the weather and sea breeze, Neil and Suzanne took to the helm of the ship, captaining the boat for a few moments, making a truly unique moment to remember!
Wedding Reception at Gunwharf Quays.
After a loop of the Harbour, it was back to the Portsmouth wedding venue, the Spinnaker Tower for the Wedding Reception. The speeches were an emotional affair, with the whole wedding party getting involved with some moving video messages. After that, the couple took to the dance floor, throwing themselves into their first dance!
With this wedding, I was lucky enough to photograph a couple who exuded love and happiness, and as a Spinnaker Tower Wedding Photographer, the venue and the beautiful Portsmouth Harbour provided me with the perfect backdrop for a wonderful couple.
