Your First Top Tip!

Spend time together!

I know it sounds obvious but ironically on your wedding day, so many people forget to do this. Just. Spend. Time.

I tell this story a lot so you may hear me tell it again but it's certainly worth hearing more than once.

The couple in this photo are Sam and Mike engrossed in their pre-wedding chat. They wanted that time together - just the two of them, at the pub for a quick drink for an hour after their ceremony. Genius! We actually utilised the time for their portrait session, which became less formal and more about natural unposed photography

They loved it! They had time to relax and chat and as a bonus, managed to get some beautiful real photos too.

Fast forward to all of my future weddings from that point, I now suggest that all of my clients do just the same. Take time out to be together and I will capture it!

No awkward posing, just spending time together.

You don't have to go to the pub of course, but just make sure you take the time to do it, otherwise, you will feel the day pass by in a flash, without that important soak-it-all-in reflection time.
