I was thrilled when Becky and Chris booked me to be their wedding photographer at Cain Manor. Cain Manor is one of the finest wedding venues in Hampshire and situated on the Hampshire and Surrey border it give the Surrey wedding venues a run for their money also.
Natural Wedding Photography, no awkward moments
Becky and her bridal party split the prep between her home and Cain Manor’s stunning bridal suite. I had to have my camera ready early to record the lively wedding preparations. The girls were getting excited on approaching the beautiful barn-style country house down the winding driveway through private woodland. Who wouldn’t when arriving at a venue that boasts an Elizabethan oak-beamed barn-style country house and a spectacular landscaped grounds it’s idyllic!
When entering the stunning bridal suite the girls didn’t waste a moment and unwrapped the bridesmaid's dresses and wedding dress from their protective coverings. It was all hands on deck to make sure Becky was ready for her wedding on time and I made sure all the moments were captured using my documentary style of photography.
It seemed like only a few moments and then there was a knock on the door, it was the registrars. But behind them, waiting patiently, was Becky Grandfather, waiting to walk her down the aisle.
Cain Manor Wedding Photos
The bridesmaids where the first to enter the barn with its cathedral windows and triple-height ceilings. They paved the way along the old oak floor, Becky and her Grandfather came walking down the aisle linked arm in arms. Those cathedral-like windows let an impressive amount of natural light in. This is perfect for wedding photography and it helps my camera capture the sharpest images.
Chris was taken back when he saw Becky and the wedding ceremony went without a hiccup. After a romantic wedding ceremony and celebratory drinks, the married couple went outside on the patio to make the most of the warm summer day. This is the perfect opportunity to take some candid photos of the wedding guest. This type of photography does transport you back to your wedding day.
Because they had the exclusive use of Cain Manor everyone could sit back and relax and enjoy the far-reaching views over the North Downs and Surrey’s Golden Valley.
Evening Wedding Reception Festivities
The Music Room was rapidly turned around in order to host the music, dancing and entertainment the evening. I took this opportunity to set up my flashes and lighting gear, at this point the golden hour had passed and the natural light was diminishing.
Becky and Chris wasted no time and took to the dance floor for the first dance. It wasn’t long until the happy couple gave the nod and their guests joined the party. Cain Manor is the perfect wedding venue and no doubt that is why is it part of the Bijou Family. Whilst the partying is going on in the Music Room the less enthusiastic wedding guests were relaxing in the Library. This houses the bar and serves as a cosy, intimate mingling space and was the perfect place for the long-overdue family catch-ups.
